Funeral Service for Marame Toure Sylla
On September 8th, the Diyanet Center of America hosted a funeral service for Marame Toure Sylla, an esteemed community member and beloved school teacher.
The service was held after the Friday prayer, and the community showed up in large numbers to pay their respects.
Mariame Toure Sylla’s sister, Fatima Toure, spoke on behalf of the family. She was joined by a Diyanet Center of America representative, several county leaders, and the school principal, Mr. Spence. Mr. Spence shared his memories of Mariame Toure Sylla and praised her dedication to helping others and making a difference in the community. She was described as a kind and lovely person who touched many lives. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
