Malikah DMV and Diyanet Center of America will be hosting a self-defense and bystander intervention workshop for women on December 8th, 2019 from 3 to 6 pm at the Cultural Center, Display Hall, Diyanet Center of America.

In this class, you will learn:
1- Verbal skills: Using your voice as a self-defense tool for stopping an attack or abuse before it becomes physical.
2- Physical self-defense techniques: Students learn simple effective strikes and techniques to use when non-physical strategies are not an option.
3- Bystander intervention: stepping up and helping someone experiencing any kind of gender or hate-based violence.
