What is Our Executive Order?
Imam Suhaib William Webb, the noted American Muslim religious leader delivered the Friday khutbah, sermon, at Diyanet Center of America (DCA) on February 3rd.
Imam Suhaib Webb, a convert to Islam himself, emphasized that God Almighty has decreed a sacred plan on us and that difficulties should bring us closer not only to God but also towards one-another, both within the Muslim community and beyond. Imam Suhaib highlighted that God, Allah, is Ever-Living, Ever-Knowing, and has control over everything.
Coming at a time of communal stress, the khutbah emphasized that Muslims are instructed to seek ihsan, excellence in beauty, regardless of the challenges they face. Imam Suhaib reminded the congregation that thankfulness, shukr, is an obligation on Muslims but that it is not always easy to keep it in focus, especially when we are confronted with difficulties.
