Over 800 Registered for "Al-Mawlid:
Celebrating the Beloved ﷺ" at DCA

The Diyanet Center of America hosted “Al-Mawlid: Celebrating the Beloved ﷺ” on Saturday, August 22, 2026, in collaboration with Al-Madina Institute. The gathering received an overwhelming response from the community, with more than 800 registrations.

Nearly 400 community members—including families, youth, children, imams, and scholars—came together to celebrate the blessed birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

The program featured Qur’an recitations, salawat, Mawlid, heartfelt du’as, inspiring spiritual reminders, and beautiful nasheeds. Throughout the evening, attendees reflected on the exemplary character and teachings of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in an atmosphere filled with faith, remembrance, love, and fellowship.

The gathering welcomed Imam Bunyamin Özçiftçi, Shaykh Hassan Lacheb, Shaykh Yahya Rhodus, Shaykh Moutasem Atiya, Imam Sami Zaharna, Munshid Ghuydar Bashmaf, and Ustadh Bilal Atiya. Their recitations, reminders, and performances offered meaningful spiritual inspiration to the community.

Following the program, lemonade and halva were served, giving attendees an opportunity to spend time together and strengthen community bonds.
