The Graduate Student Institute 2026 concluded successfully after nine days of intensive learning at the Diyanet Center of America. Organized in collaboration with the Center for Islam in the Contemporary World (CICW) and the Diyanet Islamic Research Institute (DIRI), the program brought together graduate students from leading universities across the United States to study with distinguished scholars in Qur’anic studies, Islamic thought, law, theology, history, and contemporary Muslim issues.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Kanca
In his closing remarks, the Chair of the DCA Advisory Board reminded participants that knowledge is an amanah (trust) that should be accompanied by sincerity, character, and service. He emphasized that the mosque has always been a center of learning in the Islamic tradition.
To mark the conclusion of the institute, participants received commemorative gifts from DCA, and one student was awarded a round-trip airline ticket to Turkiye. DCA, CICW, and DIRI thank all the faculty, students, and staff who contributed to making this year’s institute a meaningful success.
