We’re Hiring: Hafzah Teacher

Work Location:

Diyanet Center of America, Lanham, MD

Reporting Unit:

Chairman and Principal of Montessori and Hifzh School

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and Implement Hafızlık Plan: Develop and implement a hifz plan according to the students’ levels.
Tashih-i Huruf Training: Provide tashih-i huruf training and ensure proper Qur’an recitation.
Daily Memorization Tracking and Interviews: Regularly conduct daily memorization tracking, review programs, and interviews.
Parent Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents and inform them about the students’ progress.
Guidance on Islamic Morals and Values: Guide students on Islamic morals and values.
Reporting: Regularly report educational processes to a superior and share with relevant units.
Institutional Representation: Perform duties in accordance with DCA’s mission and vision, fulfilling the responsibility of institutional representation.

Required Qualifications:

Hifzh: Must be a hafiz of the Qur’an and possess a hifzh certificate.
Education: Preferably educated in fields such as Theology, Islamic Studies, or Qur’an Course Teaching.
Pedagogical Competence: Must be knowledgeable about student psychology and possess pedagogical competence.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and responsibility.
Gender Preference: Male teacher preferred for male students.
Legal Status: Must have legal residency in the USA.
Language Skills: Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.

Part-Time Work: Part-time work is essential.
Class Hours and Days Off: Weekly class hours and days off are determined according to the institution’s academic calendar.
