The Whole Brain Child – Book Discussion at KAGEM DCA

The objective of The Whole Brain Child book discussion is to focus on using every day moments with our children to help them reach their full potential. The brain determines who we are and what we do and it’s significantly shaped by the experiences we offer as parents. Learning about the way the brain changes in response to our parenting can help us nurture a stronger, more resilient child. In order to live balanced, meaningful, and creative lives full of connected relationships, it’s crucial that our two hemispheres work together.

The Whole Brain Child focuses on years from birth to twelve, centering especially on toddlers, school-age kids, and preteens. All significant caregivers in a child’s life that are doing the crucial work raising, supporting, and nurturing children are welcome. Please join me in learning about how we can create teachable moments using events that take place in our daily lives. Look forward to seeing you at our next book discussion on February 24, 2017. Please feel free to read Chapter 1 and be prepared to ask and answer questions!
