Democracy and National Unity Day – July 15th Program at the Mosque
On July 14th, 2024, the Diyanet Center of America commemorated Turkey’s July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day with a special program at the DCA Mosque.
The event featured a recitation of the Quran and a heartfelt prayer for the martyrs, attended by the congregation. Following the Recitations, Nasheed, and Dua, attendees were served Ashura, a traditional Turkish dessert symbolizing unity and shared heritage. The program underscored the community’s respect and remembrance for those who sacrificed their lives on July 15, 2016.
