Community Storytime and Book Release at the DCA


Local and globally known author Hena Khan visit us again at the Diyanet Center of America Auditorium this Saturday for her book release of ‘Under My Hijab’ – a beautiful picture book with poetry and prose depicting public life vs private life for a Muslim woman who chooses to wear the headscarf.

It is a wonderful resource for children and adults alike who are curious about the realities of Muslim women and the hijab – and a fun, colorful book for your library!

We had two different art&crafts activities – including collage and a butterfly clothespin craft, delicious butterfly topped cupcakes, and of course – a book signing and book discussion with the author!
