Chess Club
The Women’s Committee at the Diyanet Center of America has organized a chess club for youth ages 6-12, where weekly meetings will be held in the School Building Cafeteria.
The Women’s Committee at the Diyanet Center of America has organized a chess club for youth ages 6-12, where weekly meetings will be held in the School Building Cafeteria. Mrs. Foster, the DCA Chess Club Coach, is currently the coordinator and coach for the Prince George’s County Home School Chess Club (PGHSCC). Club members will receive weekly instruction and participate in open play sessions as well as special events promoting the game. Mrs. Forster is an active member of US Chess and has been approved to be a Tournament Director. This club is ongoing and will meet every Tuesday starting November 3rd. There is a $20 monthly fee which covers the cost of instruction and all materials, and a discounted rate for siblings at $15 a month. It is important that your child is registered so that we can keep parents updated in the case of any club cancellations or changes to the meetings.
