There was an unfortunate attack on the Diyanet Mosque of New Haven last Sunday. We are united with our friends and neighbors from all faiths and traditions to restore the mosque and bring peace to the community.
Any contribution small or large is greatly appreciated and shall be forwarded to TARF for the restoration of the Mosque.
The damage to the Mosque is estimated to be over $500,000. With your help, we aim to collect $100,000 in Phase 1- while the official investigation and insurance evaluations are underway.

One of Diyanet’s Mosques located at New Haven, CT was intentionally set on fire on Sunday, May 12th, 2019.
According to the New Haven Fire Department, the fire that began around 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 12th at the Turkish American Religious Foundation’s Mosque in New Haven, Connecticut was intentional. The Diyanet Mosque of New Haven, CT is one of the many affiliated Masajid to the Turkish-American Religious Foundation. The mosque was still in its construction phase when the fire was set.
Alhamdulillah, there has been no loss of life but substantial damage to the building has been reported. State and federal investigators have announced that a federal criminal investigation for this arson is underway. Investigators are offering a $2,500 reward for any information related to the arson. The Connecticut chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is also offering a reward of $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the person(s) responsible.
