    1. DiyanetAmerica says:

      Dear Sandra,

First of all, thank you so much for your comment and your interest in joining us in our monthly Neighborhood Kitchen Project to help the needy! It is such a beautiful and gratifying experience. We always need volunteers who will help us prepare our snack and care packages as a community.

In terms of the dress code, the event is held in our cafeteria so there are no restrictions except for things like no short shorts, tank tops etc. So, it is expected that we dress modestly. However, since it is pretty cold already this should not be a problem. You do not need to wear a headscarf or anything.

However, if you would like to come and take a look at our beautiful mosque which even a lot of groups come to visit as a field trip due to its unique and stunning architectural structure we recommend that you bring a shawl with you as well to throw over your hair once you go inside.

If you have any friends that you think might be interested please spread the word!

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any other questions or concerns.

      Best Regards,
      DCA NKP Team
